The home of ancient sky-watchers.

I took this at 4 pm. Half an hour later it was completely dark. The picture doesn't do justice to the glow in the clouds.
Sometimes, when you just kick back and look at the sky, it's easy to see why there are so many stone circles and intricately carved ancient monoliths around here.
It's cold here often, it's dark most of the winter, but I like it.

It was completely dark outside when you took this? It doesn't look like it. I agree it's a pretty sky.

Never mind. I obviously can't read worth a damn.

Pictures never do full justice. In real life, the sky expands beyond the confines of a little picture on a screen. One day, someone will invent some kind of holographic image that will fill the whole field of vision. Perhaps then we can really see what those in other parts of the world are trying to show.

Until then, well, you had to be there...
