Things are picking up.

Reports of ghostly activity have been thin on the ground for some months. People are just too distracted to notice anything unusual.

However, this one sounds promising. Unfortunately the security cameras saw nothing. That does seem odd because those cameras would be more useful looking at the customers than the staff. I hope they post the footage at some point.

It's dark, it's cold, it's time to get back to work.

Oh, and the thing in my house is back too. Let's hope it's a long dark winter.

Yeah, I'd like to see the footage of that, and more of the thing in your house. Let us know, okay?

So there it is. You have illunimated for me my lifelong problem with work. Where I live it is rarely dark or cold, and since that is the signal to get back to work, it explains why I have soooo much trouble doing so.

SW- the lab presence is back too. I was there until midnight last night and there was no peace at all. Unfortunately nothing visible as yet either. That one is just a matter of time, I'm sure.

My house guest has turned timid but is still around. Could be harder to catch.

Anon - it's easy to go to work here at this time of year. There hasn't been a rainless day for weeks and it's dark by 4 pm and cold all the time. Work is a respite!

Luckily, both main investigations are indoors at the moment.

I wouldn't survive a season in that environment. I live in a place of perpetual snshine and yet I still have a portable heater I carry around the house with me so I don't get cold when the outdoor temps dip to 70 degrees F. I'm a wimp.

It depends what you're used to. It's 68F indoors here and that's just fine with me. Over 80F, I start to suffer. 90F and I have to find a walk-in fridge.

Outside is around 40F at the moment. It's a fairly mild night for the time of year. Soon it'll be time to get the winter clothes out.
